Artist Statement

 

I have created this piece as a reflection of my youth as well as my connection with nature, being raised in this area with Hyla Park at my back doorstep it is only natural that as an adult I share this through my work.

I wanted to convey this connection that I felt between the pattern of the curling,  changing colors of the sumac leaves and the paths where I felt more engaged with the one that I had already walked rather than the one ahead of me.
